Preparing for Emily
Since we received paperwork from our adoption agency that we need to travel (visa applications, etc.) we have been working -- struggling actually -- to prepare for Emily, such as trips to Toys R Us to shop for a double stroller & car seats, going through baby clothes, and sending a care package to China.
We found that this weekend was Sydney's limit on "talking about baby sister Emily." While she did show Emily's picture to friends she also told us that it was "her turn to talk" most of the day on Sunday. She certainly knows that something in the family dynamic is changing.
This week we are hard at work collecting all the needed signed and notarized forms and Deborah is checking the CCAI Web site daily for any travel updates. We still anticipate traveling sometime in late November.
We can hardly wait to hold our precious little baby girl, Emily.
