Travel Itinerary - Part III

Booking our own travel itinerary turned out to be even more stressful than either of us anticipated. Fares increased significantly tonight as we were booking, and the original itinerary we had reserved turned out to be more expensive than we expected. After several hours - well, maybe tens of minutes - waiting on hold with several different agents, we booked a very good itinerary to and from Hong Kong. It cost almost as much as the original itinerary from the travel agency, but the layovers and timing are far more convenient.

The good news is that adoption fares are unrestricted, meaning if changes need to be made as a result of weather, delays, or unforeseen circumstances, we can have the changes made without additional costs.

And the other good news, of course, is that we have booked our travel to China! We will receive our in-China travel itinerary on Thursday - tomorrow - so we'll know far more about our trip in just a few days.
